SPECIAL EFFECTS and COLOR WORKSHOPS
GIVEN in NEW YORK and HOLLYWOOD
By popular demand, the GAMPRODUCTS Special Effects Workshop was offered on two consecutive nights, January 12th and 13th. Planned and organized by GAM's Bonita Lessmann, the demonstrations were led by Gary Friedlander, who was assisted by Bonita and Rebel Luckau. Also assisting were Kelly Ames (Product Service Manager) and Tadahiro Noritake from RDS. Lynn Smith greeted the guests. On the second night Steve Hoffman videotaped the workshop.
Demos included GAMFLOOR, Patterns, GamColor, TwinSpins, GAMTUBE, Glass Gobos, Spin/FX, StarStrobe, Blackwrap and more! The color/effects show finished with a demo of the GAM Scene Machines by Mr. Noritake.
GAM wishes to thank Altman Stage Lighting, Angstrom Stage Lighting, Arriflex Corporation, Hollywood Rentals, Kinoflo, LTM Corporation, and Mole-Richardson for the loan of special equipment and lights for the workshop.
There will be two Color Workshops in February, one on each Coast. The first one will be at GAM's Hollywood headquarters on February 10th. Presented by Andy Sobkovich and Joe Tawil, the workshop features color correction for film and television production. The second workshop will be held at Barbizon in NYC on February 25th.
