  • Some of the great effects in the movie The Haunting were helped along by GAM Stik-ups, the easy to hide, tuckable luminaire. Chief Lighting Technician was Dino Parks
  • Tom Ryan, cinematographer for Sweet Underground, deployed a GAM Shadowmaster. "It's basically a large magnetic gobo on which you can place little strips to create shadows," he says. "Again without hanging a bunch of flags, we could create these pools of light."
  • The new EFM-G1 Construction Film Loop was created especially for the Terminator 2 Show at Universal. Running in the GAM Scene Machine, it was used vertically as an elevator shaft effect. See an example pictured in color in the new Recipe Book.
  • Ten of the new GAMTORCHES were ordered by Randy Lutz of the Santa Fe Opera in New Mexico, for the productions of Bizet's Carmen and Dialogues of the Carmelites. The GAMTORCH will be used in upcoming productions at the L.A. Opera, more info in the next GAMMAG.
  • Rebel Luckau and the GAM sales staff are busy jumping around the country giving FX workshops. Among the stops are: CHICAGO SPOTLIGHT, MAINSTAGE (both Milwaukee and Pensacola) and MUSSON (Santa Clara, CA).
  • GAM went to the PLASA Show in London. Bonita Lessmann and Joe Tawil talked to all our European customers at the busy booth, which we shared with LeMark.
