News from Jason Kantrowitz about Bush Entertainment's Journey to Atlantis at Sea World of Florida. He and Ken Billington (KB Associates) were in charge of Lighting Design and utilized Stik-Ups, TwinSpin IIs, GAM Patterns and selected GAMCOLOR for the colorful marine show.
Paramount Studios in conjunction with Maplewood Productions, recently used 37 new SPE-6 Flickermasters on an upcoming Civil War feature "To Live On." The GAM SPE-6s created multiple campfire effects.
GAM's newest product, GAMFLOOR, has taken off in Hollywood! Jim Truesdale, Production Designer on the upcoming Universal project "Man On the Moon", was impressed with GAMFLOOR and is using it in the feature film.
This spring-HOLLYWOOD LIGHTS, Portland, Oregon celebrated their 50th Birthday with 2 nights of hospitality at their 38,000 sq ft facility on April 30th and May 2. Over 350 clients and friends enjoyed the light show, corporate video, food, beverage and dancing at "Club Hollywood", said Beverly Inglesby, General Manager of HOLLYWOOD LIGHTS.
Dan Madura, General Manager of DTC/MASON in Seattle, recently LD'd at a Nordstrom fashion show-benefitting the Seattle Repertory Theatre. Dan used 6 TwinSpins and GAM patterns to create ripple effects. The TwinSpins, rented through WESTSUN AMERICA, were mounted behind plexiglass panels in the floor, projecting the water ripple upwards on the models' faces. The Spring show was held at the Westin Hotel.
Paul Callihan, NORCOSTCO TX, provided the lighting package for the Shakespeare Festival in Kilgore Texas‹including GamColor and two TwinSpins.
STAGELIGHT, INC. in Houston Texas has a new branch in New Orleans called STAGELIGHT LOUISIANA They will have rental, re-sale, storefront & warehouse. The General Manager is Tom Kraesig.
TIM BECK-TWO PRODUCTIONS procured 4 new TwinSpins for the University of Dayton (Ohio).
Buddy Tobie, General Manager of 4-STAR/ESS/OLESEN says they are busy with lots of projects such as providing the Ahmanson Theatre (L.A.) with eight 2K Scene Machines for the production Enemy of the People. He reports that the "world's largest outdoor theatre', the Muni Theatre in St. Louis MO., used TwinSpins for a large water effect and were very pleased with them.
