TRAVELS WITH STEVE
While the rest of the GAM staff was in Toronto for USITT, Steve Hoffman attended the 'En Coulisse '99 Show in Montreal sponsored by Solotech. Next he went to the Global Shop Show in Chicago. With the help of Chicago Spotlight, he exhibited GAM products to the visual merchandising world at McCormick Place.
Then with the rest of the GAM group Steve went to NAB in Las Vegas. (See pics on front page) NYC was the next stop where in association with Patrick O'Rourke of Big Apple Lights, Steve held an FX seminar at the Performing Garage in SoHo, assisted by Rebel Luckau of GAM.
Next up was the ExpoLatina show in Miami. There he was joined by former GAM employee and translator Cris Garcia (now owner of Texas Stageworks). This was Intertek's first lighting show aimed at the Latin market. The show was a great success.
On the road again to Boston, Steve was joined by Rebel Luckau and presented three FX seminars at Barbizon Light of New England. The special effects seminars were created to show the many types of effects possible with GamProducts such as the TwinSpin, Spin/FX, Flickermaster, Scene Machine, Patterns and GamColor.
Steve would like to give special thanks to The Wooster Group (Performing Garage), Big Apple Lights, and Barbizon Light of New England for their help in putting on the workshops.
