Pattern Tips

And speaking of patterns, GAM is about to publish what we affectionately call the GAM RECIPE BOOK! Lighting designers in any field are on a tight schedule. A quick look at our Shadow Play Catalog will provide many good ideas, but it is hard to visualize moving and other kinetic effects. In the GAM RECIPE BOOK you will find more than one hundred recipes for different types of lighting effects, divided into categories-both by equipment and topic. The book will contain a variety of choices, from still pattern designs to Scene Machine effects. The GAM RECIPE BOOK will help you find the perfect look to complete your design. In addition to suggesting pattern combinations and the effects you can achieve with TwinSpin, Spin/FX, and Scene Machine, we have made color suggestions as well. With each effect we include Pattern and GamColor numbers, and have added recipes for how to make 'split' gels to get more effects out of your GamColor gels. Call GAM to reserve your copy(s), they are expected off the press by early summer, and will include a full color cover showing examples of the effects inside!

The time in Los Angeles, California is 05:27 pm Wednesday, October 16, 2024. The GAM staff is on duty to answer your questions from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays). For assistance, call toll free in the US and Canada 888-GAMCOLOR or 323-935-4975 (Country code 1).
