"Don't knock it if it works" says Mr. Tom Ruzika, a lighting designer based in Irvine California, in a letter he sent to GAM about an interesting way to use GamColor. Pictured here are the lighting fixtures used for the opening of a major international theme park in Japan.

Mr. Don Thomas, a lighting designer based out of Baltimore, has a new favorite GamColor©. It's GAM 430, Warm Ivory, as he stated in a recent letter to GAM. He used this in a production of "Un Ballo in Maschera" which was well represented by many GAM products such as over 100 pattern designs (gobos), two TwinSpins, and even more GamColor.

"I have a series of candelabras on stage, and rather than using a no-color amber to boost the effect of the candle light, I used the 430 instead. What an amazing color! It duplicates the color quality of candle light without being too yellow! " He goes on to say, "The audience applauded when the curtain went up. It really is a fabulous color. Thank you very much for adding it to the (swatch) book."

Thank you, Don, for your kind sentiments.

For our domestic and international customers working and touring within the U.K., as of January 2001, LeMark is now stocking the "Stock in the Box." This is a unique system that enables GAM customers to buy the entire stock of genuine GAM patterns in one box.

Paul Davis, an MFA student in Theatre Production-Lighting Design at the University of Cincinnati, sent us this picture of a production for which he was the Lighting Designer at the Corbett Theatre, College Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati. GAM Scene Machines were used to create the spectacular lighting effects for this production and were rented from Cincinnati Opera.

GamTorches and TwinSpins were used in a production of Larry Blamire's version of Robin Hood, at Glenbard North High School, 30 miles west of Chicago. There was a heavy emphasis on lighting which incorporated numerous gobos, haze and fog effects in addition to the GamTorches and TwinSpins, said Instructor and Technical Director Mr. Steven Jacobs. Lighting Design was by Nathan King. Dealers used were Chicago Spotlight and Designlab Chicago.
