TRAVELS with STEVE

Well, spring has been a very busy time for Steve. In March, he was at the 'USITT' show held in Denver, CO., where he got to catch up with a lot of old friends and also spend some quality time with GAM's many dealers and attendees. For the first time at 'USITT', GAM was showing the 575 HMI retro for Source Four Par and Ellipsoidals. In addition, shown for the first time were the moving yokes also for the Source Fours. Steve had come to 'USITT' in Denver straight from Honolulu, Hawaii, where he exhibited at the EVENT EVENT", a trade show geared toward the Special Event market. In April Steve joined the rest of the GAM staff at the 'NAB' show held in Las Vegas, NV.

GAM was pleased to show for the first time the new GAMBOX, a modular diffusion box with an internal pipe that allows the mounting of multiple light sources, that is excellent for both film and television sets. Steve also attended the 'Light Fair' show which was held at the Javitz Center in N.Y.C. 'Light Fair" is an architectural lighting trade show, where he was able to spend some time in the booth of one of GAM's dealers from Japan, Kawamoto Stage Lighting. Next on the schedule was 'Expo Latina', which was held in Miami Beach FL., May 23rd through the 25th. This time, besides being an exhibitor, Steve, for this first time ever, and with the help of a former GAM employee Cris Garcia, was able to present a special effects seminar exclusively in Spanish! All of this has kept him extremely busy, and soon he will be attending 'Show Biz West', a film and television trade show held in Los Angeles, CA., on June 23rd through to the 25th.
