  • CHICAGO SPOTLIGHT recently supplied two 2Kw GAM Scene Machines with Slide Turrets for the production of Dance for Life, an Aids benefit in Chicago. Produced by Open Hand Chicago with lighting design by Margaret Nelson.

  • Andrew Mack from HIGH OUTPUT, Vermont, sees a great market for the new GAMFLOOR. He says that many high schools have light colored highly-polished gym-seal floors which they are not allowed to paint. For about $600, a school can have a dull or colored floor, but the administration can get their shiny floor back whenever it is needed.

  • VINCENT LIGHTING SYSTEMS is having a 'get naked' contest... a few of the entries: "When they want to liven up their talent, I say let's get Naked." (GAM 109 Naked Pink) from Sean Mangan, Rental Manager. Jeff Keco, Production Specialist, said "I yell to my Grip, 'Run to the truck and get Naked.' He knows I mean GAM 109... I think."

  • Then there is our new set of gels just for lighting skin... 'naked cosmetics'. I wonder what they'll do with that one! (see above).

  • Darrell from the Roger Morgan Studio called with comments on the GAMTOOLS but particularly the GamChek. He says it "saves him so much time in doing installation check outs." He also remarked that 'you can do (testing) so much more quickly."

  • A note from Martin Aronstein, Resident LD for the St. Louis 'Muny', about using TwinSpins for a touring Peter Pan. The show will be on Broadway starting November 20th for a six week run. "The water ripple effect works great."

  • Creating a spectacular sight and sound show for the OEM booth at IMTEC, Chicago, were CHICAGO SPOTLIGHT's own Todd Koeppl and Dennis Remer. They used 12 of GAM's TwinSpin II's for some of the effects.

  • Rick Yatman, Sales Manager at ACEY/DECEY reports that they supplied 10 rolls of gloss grey GAMFLOOR for a KMEX-TV production of El Grito shot in September.

  • How to create 'Hell' with GamColor? DP Denise Bernard came up with the winning combination of 390 Walnut, 395 Golden Sunset and 410 Yellow Gold for the Kevin Pollack feature Deal of a Lifetime shooting on location. They used the GamColor both for lighting and 'on-camera'. Supplier was MOLE-RICHARDSON.
